March 6th finds us in Naples, Florida

Today, we dropped Reo off in West Palm Beach with Barb and Lee Fossett for 2 days and have traveled across Florida, mostly on Highway 80....which cuts under Lake Okachobee and through lots of sugar cane fields. Lots and lots of sugar cane fields!!!
The dirt was black as could be and we spotted several fires from burning the fields at harvest time.  As we passed by the south end of the lake, we noticed the levey which keeps the Lake in its boundries....it was so high we could see any water!

We moved!

This morning, we got up early to MOVE THE BOAT.  Our marina is well populated with other Krogen owners and most of them live across the harbor channel from us.  "Over there" they have picnic tables, grills, protected parking right behind their boats and a lot of fun.  They have "happy hour" every day at 5:30pm at the picnic tables....Sunday potluck dinners and occasional breakfasts on Sunday morning.  They have been after us to "MOVE OVER".  Well, yesterday, two boats pulled out from their docks on that side of the marina, to travel to other places, and the marina gave us permission to "join the Party".  As we were getting the lines off the mooring poles and getting the engine warmed up...it looked like all were asleep across the water.  All of a sudden one of the wives called over..."Did we need some help?"  Told her any help would be great...all of a sudden there were 5 men on the dock waiting to help us with our lines.   March will be a great month!
