Day number three....April 18

Look at our sunrise this morning!!!

New to me as a first time salt water cruiser....first thing when you pull into the marina for the evening is boat washdown.  Salt residue is everwhere....I mean little chunks you can put in a salt grinder were nestled in one of our portholes...later today, I may start to wash the inside teak to take the residue off of it....we had a lazy evening and went for dinner with Al, Sue, Jim and Barbara to a Brazilian restaurant that served all you can eat grilled meat.....as in pepper steak, "skirt" steak, lamb..pork...cornish hen, chicken, garlic beef...and the list probablyt went on ..,but we all got full....very different...the meat came out on a 2 1/2 foot long skewer and our waiter served pieces of it by sliding the meat chunks down the skewer with a pretty huge knife...we had a South American wine and followed all with a Flan.....Hungry yet?
The water is smooth today and we are heading for Datona where Paul's sister Barb and her husband Lee will join us for the weekend sail to Fernadina, Fl.

This is a view of our morning water...smooooth and calm....dolphins playing today.... and we go through a canal soon to take us into Mosquito Lagoon....Helen
